Brow or forehead lift
As we age, the eyebrow area falls and the skin of the brow loses elasticity. This can result in hooding of the skin around the eye and some patients even find that their vision is obscured by loose skin. This also makes the eyes appear smaller.
Brow lift surgery can be very effective at restoring a fresh and natural appearance. Patients may also find that their field of vision is improved.

Keyhole minimally invasive surgery

The procedure for lifting the brow has become less invasive and is now performed using endoscopic, or keyhole, techniques. Using a surgical camera, or endoscope, a browlift is performed through small, hidden incisions in the scalp.

Temporal lift
​
In selected patients a temporal lift is used to achieve the desired result and this can be performed under local anaesthetic (awake).

Botox to lift the brow
​
Mr Adamthwaite is experienced in the use of Botox or Botulinum toxin which can be used to achieve small elevations of the brow in the right patient. This is temporary and requires regular repeated injections.

Will a brow lift make me look younger?
Lifting the brow can be very effective at making patients look refreshed.

The procedure restores a graceful arch to the brow and opens up the eyes.
​
Will I have any scarring?
​
Brow lifts are performed endoscopically through small incisions in the scalp, so you will not have any visible scarring.
Mild swelling and bruising is common.
You may experience some numbness in the scalp.
​
The hair is not shaved or cut for this operation but some patients (less than 1%) experience hair loss in the incision area.

Will brow lift surgery achieve the results I am looking for?

Mr Adamthwaite assesses all patients individually and advises them on the procedures that can achieve the results they are looking for.

Some patients do very well with just a browlift procedure, other patients may want to combine a browlift with a facelift.
